Cookie Policy

Last updated May 2026 — how caiunity.com uses cookies and local storage, and how to control them.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files stored in your browser. We also use browser local storage for a couple of the same purposes — this policy covers both.

Strictly Necessary (Required)

These are set by our authentication provider (NextAuth.js) and are required for the site to function — you cannot opt out of them without losing the ability to log in.

next-auth.session-token — keeps you logged in securely.

next-auth.csrf-token — protects against cross-site request forgery.

__Secure-next-auth.callback-url — remembers where to redirect after login.

Functional (Required)

cai_visitor_id (browser local storage) — a random identifier generated the first time you open our live-chat widget, used only to associate your messages with your own chat session so we can reply to the right conversation.

cai_cookie_consent (browser local storage) — remembers whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner below, so we don't show it again.

Analytics & Marketing

We do not currently use any third-party analytics or advertising cookies (no Google Analytics, PostHog, ad pixels, etc.). If that changes, we will update this page first and ask for your consent via the banner before anything optional is loaded.

Managing Your Preferences

Our cookie banner lets you accept or decline on your first visit; you can change your mind by clearing your browser's local storage for this site and revisiting.

All modern browsers also let you block or delete cookies and local storage directly in their settings — see your browser's help documentation.
